A Sudden Wildness

I have been calm. As calm as an ocean wave on a silent sea rocking to and fro with the gentleness of a baby held in her mother's arms. I have been still, cautiously moving with eyes that track my progress in every direction, taking small steps, not daring to live too loud. I have sought silence and been content to follow my routine, one slow day into the next. And it has been enough, this quiet existence.

But now an odd restlessness sits outside my door waiting to be answered. And it will not be silenced in its attempt to draw me back and blur the lines I thought never to cross again. Instead the 19 year old version of myself smiles wickedly and speaks to me in tones hard to ignore, a sinner to her own seducing with memories of a wildness that are boiling just beneath my skin.

Maybe the taking cover thing is a bit over the top, and then again, maybe not ... ;) I guess that's a matter of opinion. ;)

M&M ... Brave comment about bar stools from a man who is guilty of tossing popcorn down my shirt. (Pot calling the kettle black there cupcake? That's what I thought ...)

Your CD's are in my CD book at work, which I accidentally left there in my race to leave on Friday night ... Ooops. You'll have them this week. Promise.

However, I need your help on those paper things I was supposed to do this weekend. I've been looking at them, and attempting to fill them out and for some reason all the mumbo jumbo language of it all has me a bit confused.

If I make something really yummy to eat in the near future, can you lend a hand?

A message to Bren - I believe that the local ordinances prohibit driving while hanging on to the cell phone: I've always felt it was a good idea to focus on an activity which not only gets you from point A to point B, but to do it with the knowledge that you are behind the wheel of a large vehicle that requires full attention to the task at hand. Don't make me warn the constable that you have other uses for your hands when driving.

And Ms. Blogger - what's the relationship between yourself and M&M...it appears suspect. Enjoyed the insight into Nonnie's secret wrestling passion and meant to tell you the "farm days" piece was good - you ought to print it out and send it to the folks who shared their daily way of life with you (you can always edit the crush thing if it makes you more comfortable.

Posted KC's gift card on Thursday - should be at your door today or tomorrow.

Bren ... Maybe that Chicken, Gravy and Stuffing dish that we haven't yet done.

I'd say more on my Mom's comment to you, but I think she did a fairly good job of doing it herself ... I'll let you answer to her on that. ;) (Heh, heh, heh ...)

As for M&M, he's quite mouthy but harmless and enjoys saying the kind of things that get all sorts of attention. The good and the bad. Needless to say, he too can answer for himself should he find himself back in the comment box.

Good thought about sending the farm piece off to those who it was written about, though I do think I would have to do a fair amount of re-working before I would. Not that I'd take out the crush thing because, and trust me when I tell you this, he knew ... (I was fairly annoying with the doe eyed thing.)

Anyhoo ... Gram's secret passion for wrestling was quite amusing ... She even had these thumb wrestling minature dolls of Hulk Hogan and Mr T ... Not quite sure where she got them, but they were her toys and not mine.

I'll keep my eye out for the gift cards, but for now I'm off to work ... One week until vacation and I'm making sure everything is buttoned up before I go ...

;)
