Does this book have a mirror opposite, like "How not to get dumped by a girl" - that would be of greater use to me. ;)

They do have a very small section for men about possible warning signs of getting dumped ... Would that work?

Warning signs are visible for anyone who is looking usually.

By the time they appear, it's normally a lost cause.

It seems to me that many people are just incompatible with the opposite sex.

As much as I could agree with you on the whole incompatibility thing, I can't keep myself from believing that out there in the great big somewhere are people of the opposite sex who would truly get you, if only they could find you.

I may be a hopeless romantic though. (And PC does exist, he just has some serious delay issues ...)

:) Still going to be late for work.

The trouble is, it's a big 'out there'. For the more unusual among us, perhaps it's too much to search.

Someone's saying a prayer
That we'll find one another
In that big somewhere
Out there"

That song tugs at my heart strings like I can't even begin to explain ... Every time I hear it, I think of my gramma and usually end up crying.

I miss the sound of her voice, the way she used to say my name, the way she smiled and laughed, and even the way she used to yell at me when I was up to no good. If I could have anything in the world, all I'd want is one more hug from her.

It's one of my favourites too. Usually sets off the waterworks here. Love that film.

To my unfathomable fortune, both my grandmothers are still with me. *touches all wood*

My maternal nan means the world to me, and I can absolutely imagine what you must feel when memories are triggered. Hurts me just to envisage it.

This may sound, I don't know, silly. But she's still with me when I make the soup she used to make me, when my hands are rolling meatballs, (yes, I'm a dreaded carnivore), when I'm saying something to KC. I don't think she's truly gone, I just believe she's in another place where she can occasionally look in on me.

Whilst someone remembers you, you're never truly gone.

It would've been my granddad's 90th birthday today (23rd), remembering him fondly. :)
