The Blessed Rumble of Thunder

I think a little rain dancing is in order.

Perhaps if it rains hard enough, I'll find a half broken gutter and do what I used to do when I was a child ... There was nothing half as fun as running outside with shampoo and conditioner bottles in hand, and washing your hair with nature.

(And of course anything else that happened to come down with the gutter. On second thought, that could have been nasty ...)

Snap, on the weather.

We've just had the second worst lightning storm I've ever seen here.

Constant fork lightning crashing around the area, some only about 100m away for a couple of hours. Very scary, very beautiful.

Can't say I was tempted to go outside, except to take photos, but that was not on the cards - it was definitely close enough to hit something. Good thing I live in a sligtly urban area where there are lots of taller things for the lightning to hit. ;)

Glad you enjoyed yours. :)

FAIM ... I'll keep my fingers crossed for rain for all of us ... Ours was so short lived, I barely had time to get outside before it stopped ... Heat lightning however we have in abundance.

Kind of a disappointment when the light show doesn't bring the desired cooling event.

(I don't think the whole dome world thing is going to work ... There are just some people I wouldn't want to be in close proximity with.)

Orbling ... Keep yourself inside, away from doors and windows! Oh and no baths, showers, phone conversations and minimal (very minimal) computer usage ... Well, unless you're leaving me more comments ...

;)

Alternatively, do all of the above, relatively safe in the knowledge that my house is older than all those surrounding, and thus shorter, less metallic and hence less liable to be hit... *he hopes*

I think something has decided we're lobsters here, keeps trying to boil us. It teams with rain, drenching everyone, then the sun comes out on 'blast furnace' setting and boils things. :S

I made the slight mistake of buying a watermelon (10lbs!) a mile or so from home and had to lug it back in the height of the sun. So showers were necessary after all...
