The first time it took almost three hours. Not bad for a girl with low to no tolerance for pain. The second time, when I added a few extra details (ie: book, butterfly, flowers) was almost an hour ...
It's a lot bigger than I had planned. Originally I was aiming for something more the size of a ummm ... quarter. Evidently I changed my mind at some point when I realized I couldn't get the detail I wanted without upping my options.
I love me some painkillers ... The more ruthless the better.

It's a very pretty faerie. Anything tattoo that involves a toadstool is automatically good though. :)
Still don't get why people put themselves through that discomfort though. Deliberate unnecessary pain, very peculiar.
One must suffer for ones art ... At least I think that's the going rumor.
Alright ... I'm going to give you that one and agree.
;)
when did you get that done?
is it on your shoulder?
It's on my right shoulder, though a fair bit closer to neck than my arm. I had it done about four years ago ...
