La La Looney

I've spent the better part of the last 12 hours working on a special top secret project ... To say that I am thoroughly exhausted would be an understatement of actual fact. And yet, I've got a corny ass grin on my face just from the thrill of accomplishment. Sort of like the cat who swallowed the canary or in this case, the hamster. Not that the hamster is in any danger yet ... Though I did have to shoo Octavia off the cage more times than I can count already. So much for thinking I had another week before my newest arrival would get here. Oy.

But for now kiddies, I'm off to la la land for some la la sleep.

Until we meet again ...

Exhausting, special, top secret project...

That causes grinning...

Well I'm worried. I suppose it has to happen in the end, all geniuses go evil if left to fester.

Day three of top secret project and I am even more tired than I was yesterday, and yet I've completed two out of the four projects I cannot speak of.

However I am not grinning at the moment. It would take far too much work for me to manage that right now when I am barely keeping my eyes open.

In fact, I think I may be sleeping alread .......................................

Well ensure you keep up your sleep, lack of sleep shortens lifespans - and the world must not lose you a second earlier than it absolutely has to.

And Bren is correct, 12:50 is very early. I've not been to bed that early in over three years... ;)

Mind you, I did get up after 3pm twice this week..... :$

I'm all for not getting lost ... That being the case, I promise to go to bed early tonight and catch up on some much needed sleep.

I'd totally agree with you on the going to bed early thing, but my body clock is totally out of whack...

It's 5:50 and I'm not that tired yet.... Think going to bed after 8am yesterday wasn't a brill idea.... :S

I went to bed on auto-pilot, got in to bed and switched the light off, and it got lighter... Daylight does a good impression of a lightbulb.

You still haven't told me what it is you do ALL night ...

Not a lot, my day just seems to extent through the night. I usually catch up on the days television when I get in, and then go on the net and deal with correspondence and financial stuff (far too many eBay things) - then onto logs and such like.

Trouble is I lose track of time, and then it's morning. Bit like now when it's nearly 5am and I have to be up at 9.30.....

argh.

I think if I had your schedule, I would lose my charming personality ... Although what I'm doing awake at this hour is beyond me. Oh well, back to bed in a mere moment.

Do you know what's worrying though.... I was up when you posted that message, albeit offline, and we're 5 hours ahead of you....

**Really** need to get this sleep thing worked out. I'm presently nocturnal. Things are so nice and peaceful at night, no distractions - that's why I got into staying up at night.

When I was young, and needed to do homework, I was easily distracted and just waited to start until everyone was asleep. Never grew out of it.

Still can't quite figure out how you're able to function ... I ended up waking up half an hour later than I should have and barely made it to work on time.

Yikes!

I can handle short sleep periods for a time, like 2-3 hours per day. I can tolerate 4-5 per day continually.

But I try to catch up if I've been having less than 7. 8 1/2 is my natural max including layin.

This is in stark contrast to my brother who *needs* 9 hours minimum, and regularly takes 14 hours a day in the holidays. I don't know how he stays flat that long. My back would be killing me if I tried that!

My two younger sisters are like that. I stopped over to my Dad's last night after work to pick KC up and my sister Jo was napping in her room. (She's home from college on break.)

Unlike you however, I was jealous. Lord knows the sleep I get isn't the refreshing, makes you feel better in the morning kind.

I used to nap a lot when I was a kid, uptil I was a bit younger than KC.

Didn't at all through my teens, and started again once I got out of Uni - only occasionally. Naps do help a great deal. My mum always takes a nap everyday in the afternoon, little siesta. :)

You probably have too much going on in your mind, you need to relax and go to bed for reasons other than that you're absolutely exhausted.

You may have something there. Perhaps I need to stop thinking quite so much and take naps while I'm doing it.

;)

If you can...

I can stop my brain whirring about as easily as I can stop my heart beating. Especially when I'm trying to get to sleep.
