I'm being quite stupid really, forgetting that the meaning of Christmas isn't about what you put under the tree or what you can't.
And this year is a can't year, which makes me feel horrible and stressed, because as I'm paying bill after bill after bill, I feel more like I'm in a bottomless pit of payments with no end in sight.
And it sucks being on your own, trying to keep it all together and intact, when all you really want is to have someone to occasionally fall back on and say, "Here. You take the wheel for a while. I'm tired of driving."
Christmas is a time for listening to your heart, for sharing your life with family and friends, watching the magic that always makes an appearance in the eyes of children on Christmas day. The gift you gave me of your time and company could not be measured in dollars and cents, couldn't fit under any tree and will always be treasured. Remember that time marches on and moments are what truly matter.
Christmas, as with all midwinter festivals is the welcoming back of the light; looking forward to the promise of better times. Inevitably this leads to reflection and introspection, especially if you are not currently content with your situation. As a time particular associated with family, and loved ones, loneliness particularly comes to the fore.
Look to your friends and family for muses, angels, guardians and protectors. Have faith in the future, your future, look to the light, dark days will always come, but they will always go.

A very special little Angel is on the way.
To sit with you, to listen, to hold you up, to tell stupid jokes. Whatever it takes.
